Mirrors Online July Update
June was a productive month for our development team. Unfortunately, a lot of what we have in the works content wise would be spoiled by talking about it. Mirrors Online is being developed as an RP focused PW, and we’re talking about the whole module, not just the Player Character side of things. There’s plenty of intrigue to go along with the adventuring and our writers are hard at work designing NPCs, quests, and lore for you to sink your RP teeth into. If you are interested in learning more about joining our focused and creative development team you can view our current list of open positions here.
Deity Lore
Ilya – Deity of Wind and Water, Deity of Good Fortune, Deity of Harvests
Naas – Deity of Dead Men, Deity of the Final Journey, Deity of Magic
These are the last two members of the Mirrors Pantheon and conclude our “Deity Thursday” feature. Over the next few weeks we will be expanding upon the racial entries.
Towns and Cities in NWN
One of the most time consuming and difficult things to do well is building realistic towns and cities. Building the areas is the easy part, populating them with NPCs and creating the desired atmosphere is the tricky part. Something we talk about frequently is what we need to do to create the illusion of a living world that both reacts and causes events, opposed to a static, more persistent world. We’ve started a new thread here, and we invite you all to share your experiences with towns and cities built in Neverwinter Nights.
Please visit our forums and stop by and say hello. We have a thriving community of developers and fans and invite you to give us a look.
